Job summary

Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston is seeking an experienced Chief Medical Officer to provide clinical leadership across 3-4 specialty services, guide teams, and uphold the highest standards of patient care.

The CMO will mentor veterinarians, collaborate with service directors and staff, participate in planning, and ensure compliance with professional licensing and best practices, all within a nonprofit hospital environment in Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD degree required.
• Completion of an internship.
• 5–10 years of veterinary leadership experience.
• Experience in a specialty or complex hospital environment.
• Strong clinical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership across 3–4 specialty services.
• Mentor and develop veterinary professionals and staff.
