Job summary

Lakefield Veterinary Group is seeking a Customer Service Representative for the Sondel Family Vet Clinic West location in Madison, WI. The CSR will recruit new clients, promote hospital services, schedule visits, and help manage flow of clients and pets to support the veterinary team.

The role requires 1+ years in retail or customer service, and a High School Diploma or GED. Flexible hours include weekday evenings and some weekends, with a focus on outstanding client service and pet care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years experience in retail sales or customer service preferred.
• Experience in a medical facility desired.

Responsibilities

• Promote hospital services to existing and prospective customers.
• Welcome clients and pets and educate on preventative care and pet health needs.
• Document and enter pet history and requested services in the practice management software.
• Direct the flow of clients and pets to ensure excellent care and productivity.
• Answer basic questions from clients and triage patient service needs.
• Schedule client appointments and coordinate with veterinarians for optimal scheduling.
• Provide all necessary instructions, information and invoices to outgoing clients.
• Dispense prescription items per veterinarian instructions and sell retail products.
• Handle cash management and reconcile the cash drawer daily.
• Respond to customer complaints professionally and resolve issues.
• Support a collaborative, efficient care environment and adhere to policies.
