HousePaws Mobile Veterinary Service in Mt Laurel, NJ is seeking a Client Service Representative to join our hospital team. The CSR will be the first and last impression for clients, handling front desk duties, scheduling, invoicing, and patient intake with a focus on compassionate care.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and a teamwork mindset in a growing veterinary service that emphasizes preventative care and client education.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience in veterinary or human medical front desk preferred.
• Computer experience with email, word/excel, and front desk devices is required.
• Basic math skills for deposits, payments, and making change are needed.
• Understanding of veterinary terminology and ability to communicate with clients and team.
• Ability to triage emergencies vs routine visits by phone and in waiting room.
• Excellent communication with clients and team members.
• Strong time management, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
• Enthusiastic team player with a positive, professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to pet owners in person or over the phone.
• Schedule, confirm appointments, record-keeping, and provide estimates/invoices.
• Respond with compassion in stressful situations.
• Maintain a clean, organized lobby and front desk area.
• Educate clients on wellness plans, food, and products sold in waiting room.
• Handle opening/closing procedures, end-of-day reports, and deposits.
• Data entry: records, client questionnaires, referrals.
• Distribute mail; ensure referral letters and lab results reach vets.
• Admit patients and ensure patient data is current.
