Job summary

The Ohio State University’s Veterinary Medical Center is seeking a Veterinary Customer Services Representative 3 to help organize daily workflow for the specialty service and serve as the point person for cases. You will interact with clients and referring veterinarians, and support clinicians, staff, and students.

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, coordinating services, triaging calls, and maintaining clear communication with clients about hospital services and fees.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant medical/veterinary office experience with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with electronic health records.
• High school graduate or equivalent per CCS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments and coordinates services for cases.
• Assists referred clients and coordinates travel services.
• Provides receptionist-level advice on care and hospital services.
• Directs questions to veterinarians or staff as appropriate.
• Assists with follow-up visits and manages department emails and discharge summaries.
• Screens and triages calls for faculty, residents, staff.
• Follows guidelines for client communication and confirms next-day appointments.
