Job summary

AmeriVet's Animal Medical Center San Rafael is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the first point of contact for clients and pets. The CSR will manage appointments, answer calls, process patient information, and ensure smooth communication between clients and our medical team in a fast-paced, pet-loving environment.

You will thrive in a collaborative clinic culture, demonstrate empathy, and help promote services and promotions while delivering outstanding client experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to provide compassionate, client-focused service.
• Prior customer service experience, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting.
• Basic proficiency with technology, including scheduling software and online communication platforms.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, even during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Client Communication & Scheduling: Answer calls and emails promptly with professional, friendly service; schedule appointments based on client needs and veterinarian availability; send reminders and confirmations; re-engage lapsed clients.
• Client Relations & Service: Greet clients warmly and ensure a positive experience; listen to gather medical information; triage inquiries; communicate promotions and campaigns.
• Managing Patient Information & Technology: Update client/patient records; process billing and payments; maintain organized records.
• Support the Medical Team & Practice Operations: Provide post-visit instructions; keep reception area organized; inform clients about services and online booking.
