You will be the first and last contact for clients, greet and assist pets, manage appointments, and support daily hospital operations with professional communication and empathy.

The role emphasizes welcoming service, accurate records, fee processing, and collaboration with veterinarians and staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication with active listening.
• Compassion for pets and people; calm, empathetic, and professional.
• Sound judgment for fast-paced environments; problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; veterinary practice software a plus.
• Availability to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting clients and handling multi-line phones.
• Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments to support patient flow.
• Place outbound calls for reminders and outreach to prospective clients.
• Present and collect fees; process payments professionally.
• Recommend products and services, including prescriptions, per hospital protocol.
• Answer questions and provide education on general pet care and husbandry.
• Maintain accurate medical records, charts, and correspondence.
• Communicate clearly with veterinarians and staff to ensure continuity of care.
