Qualifications

• At least 12 months of veterinary hospital or veterinary reception experience required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable answering phones and communicating with clients in person.
• Ability to multitask in a busy veterinary hospital environment.
• Comfortable handling payments and maintaining accurate records.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software preferred.
• Compassionate, team-oriented approach to working with clients, pets, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and their pets with friendly, compassionate service.
• Scheduling veterinary appointments and managing daily appointment flow.
• Answering phones, emails, and client questions.
• Checking patients in and out for appointments.
• Processing payments and discussing invoices with clients.
• Entering and maintaining accurate client and patient information.
• Communicating appointment and treatment information clearly.
• Coordinating with veterinary technicians, assistants, and doctors.
• Maintaining an organized, clean reception area.
• Assisting with administrative and clerical tasks.
• Escalating more complex concerns to management as needed.
• Supporting the veterinary team to provide an excellent client and patient experience.
