Qualifications

• Associates degree plus two years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience.
• Experience in blood bank operations and transfusion protocols.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all operations of the UF Small Animal Hospital Blood Bank, including donor programs, component processing, inventory control, and financial tracking.
• Provides technical support on blood products and transfusion medicine to clinicians and nursing staff.
• Instructs veterinary students, interns, residents, and new faculty on blood-banking and transfusion protocols.
• Manages blood bank technicians and handles payroll scheduling and other administrative duties.
