Job summary

Texas A&M University in College Station seeks a Veterinary Technician III to support the Blood Bank program, joining a growing transfusion medicine team. You will help recruit donors, oversee blood collection and processing, and maintain inventory with a focus on quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and four years technical experience in a veterinary hospital or referral clinic.
• Prior experience in blood banking operations in a veterinary setting is preferred.
• Six years’ experience in a veterinary medical setting is desirable.
• License as a Veterinary Technician or VT Specialty is required.

Responsibilities

• Donor Recruitment & Management: Recruit, screen, onboard donors and manage scheduling.
• Blood Collection & Processing: Perform collections and prepare blood products.
• Inventory Management & Quality Assurance: Monitor inventory and ensure QA.
• Compliance, Documentation & Reporting: Maintain donor records and regulatory compliance.
• Collaboration, Education & Program Support: Work with clinicians and staff; support training.
