Responsibilities include greeting clients, assisting doctors with appointments, maintaining EMRs, performing routine treatments, and supporting a collaborative team; prior veterinary experience and excellent communication are preferred. The role emphasizes compassion and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients arriving for appointments and escort them into an exam room; record weight and vital signs and document in EMR.
• Assist doctors with routine and emergency appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia under supervision.
• Perform patient restraint, collect samples as directed, handle and dispense medications, and maintain EMR records.
• Schedule appointments, provide client education, relay test results to doctor and clients, and update records.
• Prepare patients for surgical/dental procedures and monitor anesthesia and recovery.
• Provide in-hospital treatments, medications, IV therapy, and care as directed by veterinarians.
• Assist in training new staff and maintain a clean hospital environment.
• Provide backup front desk support and other duties as assigned.
