Qualifications

Preferred to have at least 1-year previous experience working in veterinary practice.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be compassionate and sympathetic, and maintain a professional demeanor.
Must have telephone and computer skills.
Must be a team player willing to learn new techniques.

Responsibilities

Greet clients and patients, escort to exam room, obtain weight and vitals, and record in EMR.
Assist doctors with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia under supervision.
Perform patient restraint, handle lab samples, dispense medications, and update EMRs.
Schedule appointments, provide client education, relay test results, and maintain records.
Prepare patients for procedures and assist with anesthesia; monitor during recovery.
Provide in-hospital treatments including injections, IV fluids, and patient care.
Assist in training new staff and share knowledge as required.
Keep hospital environment neat and clean; follow maintenance schedule.
