Job summary

High Plains Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate team in Colorado Springs. Role: Experienced Veterinary Assistant
Status: Full-time
Salary: $19–$21 per hour
Schedule: 4 x 10-hour days

What You’ll Do
  • Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Support patient care through safe handling, restraint, and nursing assistance
  • Prepare and maintain treatment areas, exam rooms, and equipment
  • Assist with diagnostics, laboratory testing, and sample collection
  • Support surgical and treatment procedures as directed by the veterinary team
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with hospital workflow
  • Communicate compassionately with clients and team members
  • Help create a positive experience for both patients and clients every day
