Strong patient handling and restraint skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, procedures, and surgeries.
Safely handle and restrain patients using appropriate techniques.
Perform blood draws and collect diagnostic samples.
Place IV catheters and support fluid therapy.
Prepare patients for surgical and dental procedures.
Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs throughout procedures.
Provide post-operative monitoring and recovery care.

What You’ll Do

Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, procedures, and surgeries
Safely handle and restrain patients using appropriate techniques
Perform blood draws and collect diagnostic samples
Place IV catheters and support fluid therapy
Prepare patients for surgical and dental procedures
Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs throughout procedures
Provide attentive post-operative monitoring and recovery care
Assist with laboratory diagnostics and other clinical procedures
Provide compassionate nursing care to patients throughout their visit
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding patient care and veterinary recommendations
Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
Collaborate with doctors and teammates to maintain an efficient hospital workflow

What You’ll Bring

Registered Veterinary Technician credentials or significant hands-on Veterinary Assistant experience
