Academy Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our energetic and supportive team in Baltimore. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule of 3 days per week with rotating Saturdays and a negotiable salary based on experience.

You will assist veterinarians, support daily hospital operations, and contribute to a positive clinic culture focused on excellent patient care. We value teamwork, compassion, and a strong work ethic.

• Previous Veterinary Assistant experience preferred.

What Our Veterinary Assistants Do

• Support veterinarians and technicians with patient care and daily hospital operations
• Assist with patient restraint, treatments, and procedures
• Safely and compassionately handle patients of varying sizes and temperaments
• Assist with wellness appointments and patient care throughout the day
• Help prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient care
• Assist with sample collection and basic diagnostic procedures based on experience
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members
• Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and hospital spaces clean, organized, and well stocked
• Deliver compassionate care to patients and exceptional service to clients
• Jump in wherever needed to help maintain an efficient daily workflow
