We Care Animal Hospital in Clintonville, WI is hiring a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join a compassionate team in a fast-paced clinical setting. This full-time role offers a daytime schedule with rotating Saturdays, no nights, and opportunities for growth through CE support, licensing reimbursement, and a robust benefits package.

You will triage patients, assist veterinarians, prepare medications, perform in-house lab work, and educate clients while maintaining accurate

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vital signs, and assessments.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection.
• Run in-house laboratory tests (CBCs, chemistry, urinalysis, cytology).
• Support surgical and dental procedures, monitor recovery, and maintain equipment.
• Educate clients on medications, care plans, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and support daily workflow.

What You'll Do

• Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vital signs, and patient assessments


• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures


• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed


• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection


• Run in-house laboratory testing, including CBCs, chemistry panels, urinalysis, cytology, and fecal testing


• Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care


• Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate nursing care


• Educate clients regarding medications, discharge instructions, preventive care, and treatment plans


• Maintain accurate medical records and support an efficient daily workflow
