Job summary

The Transportation Assistant at the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System in Cleveland, OH serves as the primary contact to Veterans for transportation needs within the Veterans Transportation Service (VTS).

This role supports workload forecasting, scheduling design, procedure development, and quality improvement implementation, modification of processes, evaluation, and the ongoing operational flow of the VTS program.

Qualifications

• One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) related to Transportation Assistant duties.
• Experience coordinating connections/scheduling, documenting travel information, and data tracking.
• Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and enter data into automated tracking databases.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation needs and scheduling for Veterans in the VTS program.
• Document travel information and collect data daily.
• Track data, generate a variety of reports, and modify processes for quality improvement.
