Job summary

Volunteers of America Mid-States is seeking a Program Manager I for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program in Bowling Green, KY. You will oversee program operations, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with VA/VOA policies while coordinating budgets and reporting.

You will build relationships with local service providers, advocate for Veterans, and maintain HMIS data. Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving are essential to meet program goals and improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Social Work or related field and minimum 3 years of experience; or 7 years with no degree; or veteran with 5 years of related work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to assess family needs, access local resources, advocate, counsel, and collaborate with local providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach in local communities.
• Supervise staff and conduct regular evaluations.
• Assist in budgeting and financial oversight for the program.
• Review client case files and lead weekly treatment team meetings.
• Ensure compliance with VA and VOA policies and procedures.
• Manage the SSVF regional office property and related documentation.
• Maintain program databases and HMIS and develop community outreach.
