Job summary

WestCare Wisconsin Inc. seeks an Outreach Specialist to develop and implement community outreach, engagement, and referral activities for veterans and families.

The role focuses on connecting eligible participants with suicide prevention services and supportive resources through the Sergeant Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program. You will build partnerships with VA facilities, veteran service organizations, and community agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in outreach or veteran services is preferred.
• Ability to establish partnerships with community and veteran service organizations.
• Knowledge of veteran resources and suicide prevention initiatives is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop outreach strategies to identify veterans and eligible participants for services.
• Engage with veteran service organizations, healthcare facilities, and community partners.
• Coordinate community events, resource fairs, and public awareness activities.
• Provide program information, referrals, and guidance on eligibility and services.
• Track outreach activities, referrals, and program outcomes for reporting.
• Maintain culturally responsive and trauma-informed engagement with military populations.
