The New England Center and Home for Veterans is seeking a SSVF Housing Navigator to assist Veterans with VASH vouchers and housing search efforts in the greater Boston area.

Under the SSVF Program Coordinator, you will collaborate with VASH teams to connect Veterans to services and expedite transitions from homelessness to permanent housing, using Housing First, Harm Reduction, and Motivational Interviewing approaches.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in human services; 1–3 years experience.
• Flexible self-starter with strong analytical skills.
• Experience with housing search, case management, homelessness resources.
• Understanding of Housing First, Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care.
• Excellent customer service and professional communication.

Mansioni

• Screen and intake participants; manage time-sensitive funds.
• Coordinate with SSVF and VASH teams across VA Medical Centers to case conference Veterans.
• Assess housing barriers and preferences.
• Develop Veteran-Centered Integrated Services Plans.
• Utilize Rapid Rehousing as bridge to VASH.
• Provide time-sensitive referrals to VA benefits, employment, health, etc.
• Engage landlords to secure appropriate housing for Veterans.
• Attend VASH team meetings and HUD/VASH enrollment processes.
• Ensure data collection and documentation by deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
