Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct VA Compensation & Pension General Medicine examinations and review veterans' medical history for accurate DBQ completion. You will perform comprehensive physical assessments, document objective findings, and prepare timely medical reports under VA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely evaluations.
