Job summary

DirectShifts seeks a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct VA Compensation & Pension General Medicine examinations. You will review veterans’ records, perform thorough clinical assessments, and complete DBQs with precision. Strong documentation and clear communication are essential.

The role emphasizes independent work within established protocols, ensuring VA and HIPAA compliance while coordinating with medical staff to complete evaluations promptly.

Qualifications

Active NP or PA license with collaborative agreement.
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently per clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
