Job summary

DirectShifts seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and comprehensive General Medicine examinations. You will review veterans' records, document findings, and ensure compliance with VA guidelines.

This role offers flexible scheduling (FT/PT/PRN), no on-call responsibilities, and collaboration with a supervising physician. Work independently within established clinical protocols while delivering thorough medical reports.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Must have a collaborative agreement with a supervising physician.
• Strong clinical assessment and thorough documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
