Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct VA Compensation & Pension General Medicine examinations, review medical histories, and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) per VA guidelines.

The role requires an active NP or PA license with a collaborative agreement where required by state law, strong clinical assessment, and excellent documentation and communication skills. Flex scheduling options are available.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations and complete DBQs.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and document objective findings.
• Prepare timely, objective medical reports in line with VA guidelines.
