Job summary

Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, NE seeks a Veteran and Military-Connected Student Success Coach to provide coaching and guidance to active duty, veterans, and their families, helping them navigate college life, benefits, and resources.

This on-site role supports the Veteran & Military Resource Center and coordinates with faculty, VA reps, and community partners at South Omaha Campus and Offutt AFB Center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Three (3) years of professional experience providing coaching, advising, case management, resource navigation, or related support to military-connected students, Veterans, military families, or populations experiencing educational barriers.
• Previous military service or demonstrated military affiliation/connection with experience working with military-connected individuals, Veterans, or military families is required.
• Ability to travel between campuses for meetings or position responsibilities.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing, individualized coaching and student support services to help military-connected students persist and achieve their educational goals.
• Maintains regular contact with assigned students at established touch points throughout the student lifecycle.
• Coordinates with campus departments, VA representatives, and community partners to connect students with benefits and resources.
