Job summary

Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) seeks a part-time Military and Veteran Success Facilitator to assist veterans with VA education benefits and referrals to internal and external support services. You will help with certification and billing of VA education benefits and coordinate with campus staff to support student success.

The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and a student-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with a minimum of one year experience in military/veteran services or human services for diverse/economically disadvantaged populations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to collaborate across departments.
• Attention to detail and commitment to student success.
• Higher education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review documentation for certification of veterans' education benefits.
• Serve as liaison between Department of Veterans Affairs and disabled veterans; manage forms to cover educational costs.
• Maintain accurate records and generate required reports.
• Act as campus liaison for veterans affairs with academic staff and administrators; resolve veteran student issues.
• Inform and assist students applying for DVA programs; coordinate with Veteran's Service Center staff.
• Participate in student orientation and recruit veteran students as needed.
