Job summary

Family Promise of the Big Bend seeks a Veteran Services Access Coordinator to serve as the first contact for veterans seeking services, conducting structured phone intake, collecting client information, and coordinating referrals to supervisors or community partners.

This role focuses on access, engagement, documentation, and coordination, and uses trauma-informed communication to support de-escalation and help clients maintain stable housing.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Ability to follow structured processes and document accurately.
• Experience with intake, outreach, or call-center services is preferred.
• Experience with trauma-informed care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, respectful customer service to veteran clients.
• Conduct structured intake screenings using approved tools.
• Enter client information and outreach notes into the client management system.
• Coordinate referrals to supervisors or community partners.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
