Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a dedicated Case Manager for SSVF services in Kansas/Manhattan. You will deliver rapid resolution, rehousing, and homelessness prevention support to Veteran families, while coordinating intake, referrals, and housing options in collaboration with community partners.

You will train staff, build community connections, and maintain case files and HMIS data with adherence to program guidelines.

Qualifications

BA/BS required; bachelor’s degree in social work preferred.
2–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
Experience in Motivational Interviewing, solution-focused interventions, and mediation.

Responsibilities

Assist with staff training and onboarding of new staff by providing job shadowing.
Assist with annual staff training on case management interventions and skills.
Engage Veteran households and build rapport for outreach and referrals.
Identify locations for outreach and coordinate homeless Veteran engagement.
Conduct landlord outreach and secure safe, affordable housing options.
Coordinate intake, assessment, documentation, and eligibility processes.
Maintain HMIS data and participate in CQI activities.
Develop and maintain community partnerships and attend VA/community meetings.
Provide program information to community resources and educate on services.
