Job summary

University of Vermont in Colchester, VT seeks a Veteran Housing Service Coordinator to provide in-person case management and housing navigation for very low-income Veterans and their families.

Under the SSVF program, you will use Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Informed Care to help participants secure stable housing across northern Vermont and Clinton County, NY. Travel is required with mileage reimbursed. Exempt, full-time role with limited evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of applicable experience required.
• Ability to use computerized case management applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person case management and housing navigation for very low-income Veterans and families.
• Guide participants through housing stability process and connect to community resources.
• Stabilize housing for Veterans who are literally homeless or at risk of losing housing.
