Job summary

Valor Healthcare in the United States is seeking a licensed mental health professional to provide evidence-based therapy to veterans and military families, including individual and group interventions, psychosocial assessments, and crisis management.

The role requires independent licensure in any state, experience with DSM-5, risk assessment, and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams; familiarity with Veterans benefits and electronic health records is a plus; US citizenship and residency

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice independently in ANY state; Psychologist, LPC, LMHC, LMFT, LCSW.
• Psychologist: PsyPact in addition to state license.
• Education: master's or doctoral degree as described.
• Experience: minimum of 2 years’ experience practicing therapy independently.
• Preferred: experience providing therapy with veterans and military members.
• Knowledge of DSM-5 presentations and evidence-based intervention for mental health concerns.
• Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams and manage risk.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group interventions for health psychology and mental health presentations.
• Provide cognitive screening to address functional questions.
• Provide immediate access to clinical assessment and collaborative care.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments to determine needs of patients and families.
• Provide DSM diagnoses and develop treatment plans.
• Deliver emergency/crisis interventions to stabilize patients.
• Offer psychotherapy as appropriate (individual, group, family).
• Maintain knowledge of Veteran benefits and community resources; refer when needed.
• Provide case management throughout the care continuum.
• Adhere to documentation requirements.
