Job summary
Valor Healthcare is seeking a licensed mental health clinician to provide individual and group psychotherapy to veterans, active service members, and their families. You will apply DSM-5 knowledge, conduct psychosocial assessments, and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to tailor treatment plans.
Qualified applicants must hold an independent license in any state, have PsyPact, and at least 2 years of independent practice.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed to practice independently in ANY state (Psychologist, LPC, LMHC, LMFT, LCSW)
- PsyPact required in addition to state license
- Education: master's or doctoral degree as above
- Experience: minimum 2 years practicing therapy independently
- Preferred: experience with veterans and military members
- Knowledge of DSM-5 presentations and evidence-based interventions
- Interdisciplinary team collaboration
- Risk assessment and crisis procedures knowledge
- Experience with Veterans' Hospital PTSD/MHC settings
- US citizen reside in United States
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group interventions for mental health presentations
- Provide cognitive screening
- Provide emergency/crisis interventions
- Conduct psychosocial assessments to determine needs
- Develop diagnoses and treatment plans
- Case management throughout continuum of care
- Document encounters per regulations
