Job summary
Empower Mental Health is seeking a licensed audiologist for a flexible, non-treatment role conducting VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) audiology evaluations. This 1099 contractor position focuses on testing, evaluation, and documentation for Veterans, with in-person opportunities available.
The ideal candidate will have an active audiology license, advanced degree in audiology or related field, and strong report-writing skills.
Qualifications
- Active Audiologist license.
- Doctor of Audiology (Au.D) or equivalent.
- Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
- Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.
- Comfortable performing objective, fact-based evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct VA C&P audiology evaluations for Veterans.
- Perform structured hearing and tinnitus-related evaluations based on VA guidelines.
- Utilize Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and standardized audiology testing protocols.
- Gather relevant history through focused, objective interviews.
- Complete audiometric testing and related clinical documentation as required.
- Prepare reports in VA-required formats.
- Provide factual, unbiased assessments.
- Submit documentation within required timeframes.
- Maintain boundaries between evaluation and treatment.
- Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards.
