Job summary

Empower Mental Health seeks an experienced Licensed Audiologist to conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) evaluations as a 1099 independent contractor. The role is non-treatment, focused on evaluation, testing, and documentation, with flexible scheduling and in-person opportunities.

Ideal candidates are licensed audiologists with strong documentation skills, familiar with VA guidelines, and able to produce concise, objective reports for Veterans.

Qualifications

• Active Audiologist license.
• Au.D./M.S./M.A./PhD in Audiology or related field.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.
• Comfortable performing objective, fact-based evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P audiology evaluations for Veterans.
• Perform structured hearing and tinnitus evaluations per VA guidelines.
• Utilize Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and standardized audiology testing protocols.
• Gather relevant history through focused, objective interviews.
• Complete audiometric testing and related clinical documentation as required.
• Prepare reports in VA-required formats.
• Provide factual, unbiased assessments without influencing outcomes.
• Complete and submit documentation within required timeframes.
• Maintain clear boundaries between evaluation and treatment.
• Adhere to all ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards.
