Job summary

Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience to begin a rewarding career as an Automotive Service Technician. This full-time position offers a hands-on training experience through a one-year competency-based apprenticeship leading to Kia Service Technician certification. Candidates must have an honorable discharge from the U.S. Military, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to complete background checks and drug screenings. The program is GI Bill-approved, providing eligible Veterans with a Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA).

Qualifications

• Must be honorably discharged from U.S. Military Service.
• Valid driver’s license required with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field is necessary.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engines and transmissions.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics using Kia procedures.
• Complete repair orders and warranty documentation reliably.
• Test drive vehicles and verify repairs with diagnostic tools.
