Job summary

Greenway Kia of Franklin is seeking Military Veterans for the Automotive Technician Apprentice role under the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP). This program provides hands-on training leading to Kia Service Technician certification, allowing Veterans to gain dealership experience while receiving a Monthly Housing Allowance through the GI Bill. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing Kia vehicles with an emphasis on safety and quality service. Ideal candidates are military veterans with mechanical experience and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment.
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engines and electrical systems.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics using Kia procedures.
• Complete repair orders according to dealership policies.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repair quality.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
