Job summary

A Kia dealership in Hurst, TX is looking for Military Veterans with mechanical experience to become Automotive Service Technicians. This role is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), which offers a one-year, competency-based apprenticeship leading to Kia certification. Candidates will work full-time while receiving training and support. They must have an honorable discharge from the U.S. Military and a valid driver's license. Experience in a mechanical field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record requisite.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills necessary.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including engines and transmissions.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics using Kia procedures.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repair quality.

Skills

Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field

Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment
