Job summary
Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience to start a career as an Automotive Service Technician. This program offers hands-on dealership experience while completing a one-year competency-based apprenticeship leading to Kia Service Technician certification. Candidates will work alongside experienced technicians while gaining skills to diagnose, service, and repair Kia vehicles. Eligible Veterans may receive a Monthly Housing Allowance during their apprenticeship.
Qualifications
- Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engines and transmissions.
- Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Communicate with service advisors and maintain a safe work environment.
