NewDay Veterinary Care, located at Pet Paradise, is seeking a friendly Veterinary Receptionist for our Jacksonville Airport clinic. This role blends front desk duties with light veterinary assistant tasks in a fast-paced environment.

You will greet clients, manage schedules, process payments, and support the veterinary team with patient handling and simple care tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and capable of multitasking while delivering excellent client service.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and organizational skills with professional phone etiquette.
• Reliable and flexible to Resort schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Light veterinary assistant or technician experience is a plus.
• Comfortable working around dogs of all sizes and cats.
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
• Ability to manage a high volume of calls with professionalism.
• Proficiency with computers and scheduling systems.
• Ability to stay calm and empathetic in fast-paced situations.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets warmly and provide a professional first impression.
• Escort clients into exam rooms and coordinate with staff for smooth flow.
• Check clients in/out, process payments, and maintain records.
• Update patient information to keep medical records current.
• Answer and direct multiple phone lines courteously.
• Handle inquiries about services, products, or pet care information.
• Assist with prescription refills and relay information between clients and the team.
• Maintain reception area and exam room cleanliness and organization.
• Assist with pet supply purchases.
• Support team with daily administrative tasks.
