Job summary

Alton Main Animal Hospital in Santa Ana, CA seeks a friendly Client Service Representative. You’ll welcome clients, manage appointments, and support the veterinary team in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include front-desk duties, records management, payment processing, and empathetic communication. Prior customer service experience is preferred; veterinary exposure is a plus. Compensation ranges $17–$21 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organization, time management and attention to detail.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, professional team player and empathy toward clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone.
• Schedule and confirm appointments and assist with patient check-in/check-out.
• Maintain accurate client and patient records.
• Prepare estimates, invoices, and process payment.
• Answer phones and assist with client questions and concerns.
• Communicate with empathy and professionalism, especially during stressful situations.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
• Assist with patient admissions, including obtaining weights and updating information.
• Process referrals, lab results, mail, and other documentation.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and other front-desk duties.
• Help identify urgent concerns and communicate them to the veterinary team.
• Participate in ongoing learning and opportunities to develop veterinary assistant skills.
