Job summary

NVA General Practice in Alameda, CA is seeking a Veterinary Client Service Representative to be the welcoming face of our AAHA-accredited hospital. You will coordinate client interactions, manage appointment scheduling, and support front desk operations to ensure pets receive care and owners stay informed.

The ideal candidate multitasks in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly with clients and staff, and maintains professionalism under pressure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience; veterinary experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual a plus.
• Experience with multi-line phones and front desk responsibilities.
• Strong computer skills and quick software learning.
• Ability to manage time effectively and stay professional under pressure.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly and schedule appointments.
• Manage veterinary software to update records, schedule, and billing.
• Explain care instructions, vaccination schedules, and follow-ups.
• Maintain front desk cleanliness and organization; filing and admin tasks.
• Multi-task in a multi-doctor practice.
• Collaborate with team and communicate about pet care.
