Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Pet Care Assistant to join its veterinary team in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. You will prepare examination rooms, assist with routine tests, and support veterinarians and technicians to ensure high-quality care and a welcoming experience for pets and their families.

You will educate clients on preventive care and wellness plans, maintain hospital cleanliness, and provide support to Client Services staff as needed, including weekend/evening shifts

Qualifications

• Fluent English communication, written and verbal.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Strong client service orientation and teamwork.
• Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Comfortable with basic math for measurements and dosing.
• Proficient with standard computer software (Word/Excel/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment room and medical supplies for examinations.
• Set up in-house tests and assist with routine procedures.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams and procedures.
• Educate clients on preventive care and wellness plans.
• Maintain hospital cleanliness and supportive duties as required.
• Support Client Services staff as needed.
