Banfield Pet Hospital seeks a Pet Care Assistant to support the veterinary medical team, preparing treatment rooms, assisting during exams, and ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and patients. You will perform in-house lab tests, assist with vaccinations, monitor hospitalized pets, and help with daily hospital duties while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Able to multi-task and manage multiple tasks without losing accuracy.
• Fluent English in reading, writing and speaking.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good problem-solving and math abilities.
• Experience with computer software including Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the treatment room for examination of pets and all necessary medical items and supplies for the veterinarian and/or veterinary technician.
• Set up fecals, smears, and skin scrapings as allowed by state rules and regulations.
• Maintain the flow of the Cycle of Service in accordance to position.
• Provide Client Education regarding preventive care and status of hospitalized pets.
• Assist Client Services Coordinator staff on an as-needed basis.
