Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Pet Care Assistant to support the veterinary team in delivering compassionate care for pets. You will help prepare examination rooms, assist during treatments, and educate clients on preventive care and wellness plans.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting, including weekends and evenings as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old to perform radiography (x-ray) and exposure to radioactive substances.
• One year of related experience required with customer service preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare the treatment room for examination and all necessary medical items and supplies for the veterinarian and/or veterinary technician.
• Hold or restrain pets during examination, treatment, or inoculation.
• Prepare routine in-house laboratory tests as allowed by state rules and regulations.
• Maintain the comfort of hospitalized patients and ensure their well-being.
• Clean the surgical suite and instruments.
• Ensure hospital cleanliness including laundry, dishes, and waste removal.
