Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital seeks a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians in delivering top-notch pet care. You will educate clients on wellness plans, help with procedures, and maintain accurate medical records in a busy hospital environment.

You will contribute to a safe, organized clinic, assist with surgeries as needed, and mentor junior staff while upholding the Five Principles of Mars in daily practice.

Qualifications

• Certificate of completion from a NAVTA approved Veterinary Assistant program or equivalent
• Ability to perform NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant skills
• Experience with customer service in a veterinary setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and technicians to ensure high-quality care
• Educate clients on preventive care and wellness plans
• Obtain patient histories and maintain medical charts
• Ensure safety and clean, organized treatment areas and labs
• Assist with surgical procedures as applicable
