Qualifications

• Certificate of completion from a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to perform NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure pet safety and quality care.
• Maintain flow of patients and assist with procedures as needed.
• Educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans.
• Maintain clean and organized treatment areas, exam rooms and labs.
• Mentor other hospital team members and uphold hospital standards.
