Job summary

Requirements include 8+ years in terminal operations leadership, 5+ years managing union labor, and strong knowledge of safety regulations and cargo stability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of leading terminal operations.
• 5+ years managing union labor including dispatch rules.
• Knowledge of safety and accident prevention codes and regulations.
• Knowledge and understanding of cargo stowage and stability.
• Experience with computerized operating systems.
• Valid driver’s license and TWIC card.

Responsibilities

• Supervise subordinate personnel to ensure work aligns with requirements.
• Conduct employee training on hazards, orientations, quality, and computer use.
• Participate in grievance settlements and employment decisions.
• Implement schedule and policy changes.
• Drive continuous improvement of policies, procedures, goals and objectives.
• Monitor compliance with policies, safety rules, union contracts, and regulations.
• Promote safe work activities through safety audits and meetings.
• Monitor spending to align with budgets.
• Investigate accidents to improve safety procedures.
• Analyze expenditures to plan budgets for profit and service improvements.
• Set operations policies and safety procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
