Job summary

Cottonwood Residential is hiring an Apartment Maintenance Technician for Morgan Ridge Apartments in Winston-Salem, NC. The role is on-site and focuses on performing repairs across plumbing, electrical, and carpentry to maintain high customer service levels.

Ideal candidates will have HVAC troubleshooting experience, EPA Type II or Universal and CPO certifications, and be able to work evenings, weekends, and on-call emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate with customers, process Company paperwork, and interpret safety and operating manuals and procedures.
• Must be able to move, carry, reposition, or lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and navigate elevation changes while maintaining balance.
• Frequent need to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, push/pull, and access small areas.
• Ability to work standard community hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work as an on-call technician and provide after-hours emergency service with the support of the Service Manager while following Company standards.
• Perform repairs that may include, but are not limited to, plumbing, electrical work, and general carpentry work related to household, building, and property grounds repairs.
• EPA certification Type II or Universal is a plus.
• Considerable experience troubleshooting HVAC.
• CPO certification is a plus.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
