Job summary

Cottonwood Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for Autumn Ridge Apartments in Raleigh, NC. The role involves diagnosing and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with make-ready units to ensure readiness for new residents.

The position requires 2+ years of multifamily maintenance, EPA Type II or Universal certification, a valid driver's license, and a strong customer-service mindset with the ability to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• EPA certification Type II or Universal is required.
• 2+ years of multifamily property maintenance experience is required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool/spa maintenance, and appliance repair.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in occupied and vacant apartment homes, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry repairs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues; escalate complex repairs when needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and apartment homes.
• Service and maintain HVAC systems, including furnaces and air conditioners.
• Repair and maintain residential appliances, plumbing, and electrical fixtures.
• Assist with make-ready processes to prepare units for new residents.
• Maintain property cleanliness and safety in common areas.
• Interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members.
• Communicate progress with the Maintenance Supervisor and participate in training.
