Job summary

MedlinkHealth Anesthesia in the United States is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to support Medical/Surgical and Progressive Care (PCU) units. You will float between Medical Care Unit, Post-Surgical, and IMC/PCU, delivering direct patient care and patient education.

Required: 2+ years Med/Surg experience, hospital acute care in the last 5 years, RN license, BLS and ACLS. You will respond to emergencies, collaborate with clinicians, and maintain EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of Medical/Surg nursing experience.
• Recent hospital-based acute care experience within the last 5 years.
• Willingness to float between Medical, Post-Surgical, and IMC/PCU units.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Float between Medical Care Unit, Post-Surgical Unit, and IMC/PCU to cover unit needs.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for medical-surgical and progressive care patients.
• Monitor Vital signs, recognize acute changes, and respond to emergencies.
• Coordinate care plans with physicians, specialists, and allied staff for safe discharge.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and home care steps.
• Maintain accurate EMR records in accordance with standards.
