Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff in patient care, vital signs, hygiene, and daily unit operations. You’ll help with stocking supplies, equipment use, and light clerical tasks in a busy hospital setting.

Candidates will demonstrate basic medical terminology knowledge, strong English communication, and the ability to float between campuses and shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology and clinical workflow.
• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Eligibility for CNA/LVN credentials or active enrollment in nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs and assist with patient hygiene.
• Assist with stocking and unit cleanliness.
• Operate hospital equipment as directed and perform routine clerical tasks.
• Float between Orange and Irvine campuses as needed.

Education

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
