Job summary

Oak View Group in Port Wentworth, GA, seeks an Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of events and facility operations from setup to teardown, coordinating with third parties, recruiting and training staff, and ensuring safety and compliance.

The role includes ice rink management, scheduling, preventative maintenance, and coordinating with parking, housekeeping, and vendors. Salary ranges $55,000-$60,000 with full benefits; position open until Oct 23, 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Technical degree from an accredited college/university/school preferred.
• Minimum 3-5+ years’ arena/entertainment venue experience and facility operations management preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising/training personnel.
• Related experience in public assembly industry in supervisory or management position.
• Must work flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended days.
• Proficient knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software and standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day building operations, maintenance, and special projects.
• Plan and coordinate venue setups for ice hockey, concerts, and events.
• Manage parking procedures and staff training.
• Oversee part-time staff for setup, events, and breakdown.
• Oversee CMMS and preventative maintenance programs.
• Oversee purchases of safety equipment and supplies for vendors.
• Coordinate rider specifications with event manager and data sheets.
• Investigate and resolve operational problems and complaints.
• Ensure compliance with laws, codes and safety procedures.
• Schedule third-party employees and coordinate ice installation/maintenance.
